We highlight the popular Aquarium Photography course - starts 13th June

Aquarium Photography 2010 is set to begin June 13th, 2010! This is the date of the first live chat session, starting at 7:30pm EST (4:30 PST) and lasting for 2 hours.

This is a 6 week course( fee $100) and includes lifetime access to the course notes, online content, and course-only forum.

"Through interactive online learning with practical, hands on photography assignments, instructional videos, quizzes and critiques of your images through your own web-based student photo gallery, you will gain a thorough understanding of how to capture stunning photographs of aquariums and their aquatic inhabitants.

During the Aquarium Photography Techniques course, you will learn how to utilize your camera equipment to capture clear & compelling images of aquariums under varying conditions as well as the basic rules of composition and fundamental macro and electronic flash photography techniques.

We will examine how to ‘set the stage’ in an aquarium for your photo shoot while discussing a variety of techniques for capturing images of an array of subject matter, including corals, invertebrates, and (of course) fish. Additionally, we will cover methods of photographing entire aquariums within their surroundings.

The Aquarium Photography Techniques course will also include an introduction to basic digital post-production skills, including photo file management and digital imaging / manipulation.

By the end of the Aquarium Photography course, participants will be able to consistently capture stunning, well-composed and technically excellent images. As well as be able to deal with the challenges of photographing subjects that are behind glass, underwater and oftentimes, poorly illuminated."
